I saw your post last night just before I went to sleep and I didn’t want to just heart it and say nothing more. Yes, you are nice. I’m glad I said it, and I’m glad you liked it. I’m sorry you got even a moment’s angst out of it.

It’s easy to be cynical or mean on Twitter. Think up a new way to say ‘laugh at this person for being fat and/or ugly and/or stupid’ and you’ll get a bunch of stars. It’s a temptation that I don’t pass up often enough, but you always seem to. It’s harder to laugh at yourself. I do alright with that and we all know you do it as well as anyone.

The hardest thing, though, is to JUST laugh. To just look around and see everything as funny. I don’t even know if I’ve got that in me, but you do it so effortlessly, with such exuberance and enjoyment and a whole lot of other words beginning with ‘E’*. I crack up every time you say HORSIE COPS.

So no, it’s not a ‘good thing’ that you’re nice. It’s a fucking inspiration.

*Sudden thought. When you use all caps, is that echolocation?
